It is critical that those who are answering and dispatching law enforcement related calls have knowledge of criminal law. For instance, there is a significant difference between a robbery and a burglary or a threat and an assault, and so on – how this initial information is gathered and distributed is critical to a proper law enforcement response. This course is designed to educate civilian dispatchers on the critical elements of the various crimes that are commonly reported, making the overall police response more efficient and proper for the nature of the call.
This class will leave the student with a solid understanding of Criminal Law. Also an excellent course for police officers.
